Botanical Gardens

A botanical gardens is a wonderful place to visit.  A few days ago, we met up with Grandma and Grandpa P at the botanical gardens.  We enjoyed a picnic in the parking lot (yep, we really did) and then we took them around the gardens.  It was kind of an adventure because it lightly sprinkled rain on and off and there was the constant rumbling of thunder.  We still made it around the gardens and didn't suffer too much.

It's sort of a challenge to get everyone in the photo!

So many lovely flowers and gardens to look at.

Grandma and Grandpa were good sports while we wheeled them around the grounds ... 

... we only almost tipped them over once ... each of them ... 

(we'll blame it on the kids)

Umbrellas ... good for shelter from the raindrops ... but also a fun photo prop!

I was about to take this photo and at the last second this little photo-bomber appeared!

 

Very cool ... and likely old ... tree.

Just look at all that character!
