The BIG Moment is Nearly HERE!! (LONG Letter to Jonah and Rees)

WOW!!!  Just LOOK at our pantry door!!!

Can you believe it???  Nearly the entire door is filled in!!  We've come a long way ~ and in some ways, it seems like it's been long and tedious and in other ways, the time has really gone by quickly!

To my newest sons, ... I wonder what "time" feels like to you.  I wonder if the days sometimes go by as slowly as mine do ... if you wonder if we're ever coming.

I wonder if you are happy to think that you have a family coming for you.

On February 18, 2015, after firmly believing that God was letting me know "the time is now" with regards to starting another adoption, I went on our adoption agency's website (only, they weren't yet our adoption agency) and "found" the two of you ... (Billy and Alan), noted as being best friends.

We could completely understand why you might have been drawn together.  We couldn't imagine how you would feel if only one of you was adopted but not the other.  We asked the agency if we could be allowed to adopt BOTH of you and they said "YES"!

Boy, oh boy, ... there sure was A LOT to do from that moment forward! And we have been so busy ever since then, planning and preparing for you to join our family.

After a few weeks, we found out that one of you (Jonah aka "Billy") was going to be having a surgery provided for by the organization Love Without Boundaries ...
...believe it or not, we had never heard of them.  But when I looked into their organization and read about them and the wonderful work they do for the children of China, I was excited for you and nervous all at the same time.  It was an amazing blessing getting to follow along as they made updates about the work they were doing.

We will always be grateful for Love Without Boundaries giving you a head start on the transformation you will undergo and for giving you a boost of confidence and self-esteem for the last six months.

We're eager to take you boys to our favorite cranio-facial surgeon!!  You're just gonna love him, just like your older sisters do.  Your sisters will be able to relate with you in a special way.

Once you're here, there will be a lot for us to do.
In the last several months, there's been a lot to do too ... and we've been busy doing it.

We had a BIG rummage sale this past summer in an effort to raise money to help us get to China.

Whew!!  What a MESS!!!

We also worked on getting the bedrooms ready.  Your sisters are GLADLY going into one room to share together so that you both can have the other room.

We sure hope you're going to enjoy your new room!!

Our church gave us a luncheon to share our adoption story and we also had a F-U-N Fundraiser at our local mexican restaurant!

I even started on a few scrapbooks for you both!!!
Now it's official!

Your sister Molly raised money for your adoption by taking sponsors for inches of her really long hair to be cut.  She hasn't had her hair cut since she was your age and had her head shaved for her first surgery here in the USA.

A few weeks ago, we sent a cake to you at your orphanage.
We sure hope you enjoyed it!!

(p.s. your mama LOVES cake and she'd love for you to love it too because none of your brothers and sisters do ... can you believe that?)

And we think you're adorable ... even with all the frosting that your nannies put on your face!

We're coming soon boys.  We pray that God is preparing you and whispering words of comfort, confidence and "calm".  He will walk us through it ... all of it ... as He already has thus far.

Soon, boys, ... we'll be with you soon.
